Question : National Career Service

(a) the number of aspirants registered under National Career Service (NCS) in the country at present with particular reference to Maharashtra and Tripura;

(b) the total number of job-seekers that have been employed through the NCS portal during each of the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;

(c) the total number of persons who have secured jobs through the portal in the public sector and private sector;

(d) the total number of persons who have secured jobs through the Job Fairs organized by the Ministry, State/UT-wise;

(e) whether the Ministry has signed MoU with TCS iON to offer free online career skills training through NCS; and

(f) if so, the details thereof along with number of active beneficiaries, State-wise?

(a) to (c) At present, the total number of active jobseekers registered on National Career Service Portal is 1.03 crore, of which 13.34 lakh job-seekers are from Maharashtra and 1.99 lakh job-seekers are from Tripura. Notifying final hiring figures is not a mandatory requirement on NCS portal. However, a total of 77.56 lakh vacancies have been mobilized on NCS portal till 9th September, 2020 including the vacancies of public and private sector.

(d) State/UT-wise number of persons who have secured jobs through job fairs organized by the Ministry are annexed (Annexure-I).

(e) and (f) The Ministry has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TCS iON with the objective to provide career skills training to jobseekers free of cost. State-wise list of beneficiaries are annexed (Annexure-II).
