Question : Height of Platform

(a) whether the Government has taken/proposes to take steps for raising the height of platform at Mallawan Madhoganj Railway Station while putting cemented sheds thereon in Misrikh Parliamentary Constituency of Uttar Pradesh; if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government proposes to take steps for beautification of Araul Railway Station which is near the world famous dargah of Madarshah and also provide facilities like drinking water, toilets, restrooms, etc. over there; if so, the details in this regard;

(c) whether the Government proposes to take steps to keep the railway crossing no. 43 located at a distance of three kilometers from Shivrajpur Railway Station open as it had been earlier; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (d) OF UNSTARRED QUESTION NO.1191 BY SHRI ASHOK KUMAR RAWAT TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 09.02.2022 REGARDING HEIGHT OF PLATFORM


(a) Mallawan and Madhoganj railway stations are Non Suburban Grade-6 category stations where platform shed (shelters) are already provided. For raising rail level platform to high level platform, preference is given to higher category of station over lower category of station depending upon inter se priority and availability of funds.

(b) Araul Railway station is a Non Suburban Grade-6 category railway station. The work of raising of home platform has been completed and the work of Foot Over Bridge is under construction. All minimum essential amenities are available at this station as per railway norms.

(c) and (d) Level Crossing No.43 near Shivrajpur railway station is in operation for road vehicles movement. At present there is no planning to close this level crossing.
