Question : LPG BOTTLING PLANT IN NAGALAND



(a) whether Indian Oil Corporation Limited (AOD) has set up a LPG Bottling Plant in Dimapur, Nagaland ;

(b) if so, the time by which it is likely to be made operational ;

(c) whether the Government propose to absorb the local candidates for all technical / non-technical jobs to encourage job opportunities for the local candidates and avoid employing candidates from adjoining States to fill up the backlog ; and

(d) if so, the details thereof ?

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM & NATURAL GAS ( SHRIMATI SUMITRA MAHAJAN )

(a) & (b) : The LPG bottling plant set up by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Assam Oil Division) is mechanically complete. Trial runs are scheduled by the end of July, 2003. The plant will be made operational thereafter.

(c) & (d) : The operation of the bottling plant is planned to be managed by the re-deployment of existing surplus manpower available with the company.
