(a) the present status of construction of National Highway (NH)-183 and NH-183A in Kerala;
(b) the funds allocated, released and utilised for construction work of these projects;
(c) whether acquisition of land is required for the purpose; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b) Detailed Project Report (DPR) for widening to 2 lane with paved shoulders configuration of NH 183 from Kollam to Kumily and NH 183A from Bharanikavu to Vandiperayar in Kerala has been taken up by Ministry through State PWD. The development works are sanctioned based on outcome of DPR, inter-se priority and availability of fund. Further, 7 works of strengthening of existing NH have been sanctioned by Ministry on NH 183 and NH 183A during last 3 years, details of which are at Annexure I.
(c) & (d) Land Acquisition is to be done as per requirement based on outcome of Detailed Project Report (DPR).
