Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (SHRI JAYANT SINHA)

(a) The details of Land Customs Stations set up and functioning on Indo-Nepal border in the State of Uttar Pradesh are listed in Annexure I.

(b) No.

(c) & (d) The movement of goods across the Indo-Nepal Border can only take place through bi-laterally agreed routes and through notified Land Customs Stations (LCS) agreed by both India and Nepal in terms of the Indo-Nepal Treaty of Trade. Belranya is not an agreed LCS under the India Nepal Treaty for Trade. There is no proposal to set up a Land Customs Station at Belranya as an existing notified Land Customs Station is at Tikonia, which is about 10 Kms from Belranya.
