Question : Water Treatment System by BARC for Ganga

(a) whether Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) has offered a membrane based water treatment system to clean Ganga River;
(b) if so, the details and the salient features thereof;
(c) whether the Government has accepted the proposal of BARC and decided to use this technology for cleaning of other rivers also; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken in this regard?

(a) No, Madam. The National Mission for Clean Ganga has not received any proposal from Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) on membrane based water treatment system to clean river Ganga.
