(a) whether the Government is contemplating to recruit surrendered Bodo militants and employ youth in Para Military Forces by way of making a special recruitment drive within a time-frame in order to divert the tendency of the young generation from joining any militant outfits; and
(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (b): At present, there is no such proposal. Following the signing of Memorandum of Settlement between the Central Government, Government of Assam and Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) on 10th February, 2003, eligible 846 ex-BLT cadres/Bodo youth were recruited in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Besides, CAPFs are conducting normal recruitment drive from time to time to employ youth for North-Eastern States including Assam.
