Question : REDUCTION IN STRENGTH OF EMPLOYEES IN AIR INDIA

(a) whether Air India has decided to reduce the existing strength of its employees from 17000 to 10000 by the year 2003-2005;

(b) if so, the reasons for surplus employees; and

(c) the manner and the number of phases in which the strength of the employees is proposed to be reduced?
