(a) whether the Government proposes to recycle waste generated at Railway stations to generate power for lighting up stations;
(b) if so, the details of stations first intended to be covered;
(c) whether any station in Kerala is on the initial list for the project; and

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Railways have taken action to set up pilot plants at New Delhi and Jaipur railway stations for disposal of waste arising, in an environment friendly manner. Electricity may also be produced as a by product in such plants which can be used in the railway stations including for lighting purposes, if found feasible.
(c) No, Madam.
(d) Does not arise.
