(a) whether the Ministry is aware that appointment to Vice-Chancellor posts is delayed
across the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof and action taken by the Government thereon, State/ UTwise;
(c) the steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c): At present, there are 41 Central Universities under the purview of this Ministry
and the Vice Chancellor’s posts are vacant in three Central Universities as per the
