Question : OTP of Air India

(a) whether Air India''s On Time Performance (OTP) is worst among major National and International Carriers ;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) whether there has been a significant improvement in overall OTP of various airlines including Air India in the recent months, if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the steps taken or proposed to be taken by Air India to further improve its OTP ?

(a) : No, Madam.

(b) : Does not arise in view of (a) above.

(c) : There is an improvement in overall OTP of various airlines including Air India in recent months. The details of the OTP for 4 metros i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore for the year 2015 (till October, 2015) is attached as annexure.

(d) All possible efforts have been made to ensure On Time Performance (OTP) of AI flights. The OTP is being monitored at the highest level within Air India on daily basis. A video conference is anchored by Integrated Operation Control Centre (IOCC) everyday in which the representatives of operating departments from four regions participate to review the previous day''s operation and evolve process improvement wherever possible. Wherever required, issues are taken up with Airport operators, ground handling agencies etc .
