Question : LITERACY RATE OF SCS

(a) whether literacy rate of Scheduled Castes in many districts of the country is less than five per cent;

(b) if so, names of such districts;

(c) the efforts made by the Government to increase literacy rate of Scheduled Castes in these districts; and

(d) the achievements made as a result thereof?

(a) As per Census of India 2001, there is no district in the country having less than five(5) per cent literacy rate amongst the Scheduled Castes.
