Question : Central Vista Redevelopment Project

(a) the reasons for which the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) provided only two days’ time to hear the public’s objections to and suggestions on the changes in land use pattern in relation to the Central Vista Redevelopment project;
(b) whether a review of the process of hearing the public’s objections to the changes in land use patterns would be undertaken; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that the public notice inviting objections/ suggestions for change in land use was issued on 21.12.2019 giving 30 days time. In response, 1,292 objections/ suggestions were received. The Board of Enquiry and Hearing, set up by DDA to hear the objections/ suggestions from public conducted its proceedings on 6th and 7th February, 2020. The entire process has been conducted under the provisions of section 11-A of the Delhi Development Act, 1957 and there is no proposal to review it.
