Question : Upgradation of SHs into NHs

(a) the details of State Highways (SHs) that have been converted into National Highways (NHs) in the country during the last five years and the current year in the country, State-wise including Karnataka and Telangana;
(b) the present status of ongoing upgradation of SHs into NHs in the said two States; and
(c) the target set for completion of the up-gradation of SHs into NHs along with the details of funds allocated and spent on these projects in the said two States?

(a) State/Union Territory (UT)-wise details of State roads including State Highways (SHs) notified as National Highways (NHs) in last 5 years and current year is annexed.
(b) and (c) The Ministry is primarily responsible for development and maintenance of NHs. Development and maintenance of SHs is the responsibility of the concerned State Government / Union Territories (UTs). Present status of ongoing NHs works in the state of Telangana and Karnataka is as under.
