(a) to (c): Central Vigilance Commission exercises superin- tendence over the vigilance administration of various Mini- stries/Departments/Public Section Enterprises/Public Sector Banks and autonomous organisations under the Central Gover- nment and all Ministries/Departments/Organisations under Commission`s jurisdiction have vigilance units headed by Chief Vigilance Officers (CVO). The CVOs act as an extended arm of the Commission. There are 199 posts of full time CVOs and 483 posts of part time CVOs as on date.
