(a) & (b) : Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has informed that there are no sanctioned
posts of Urdu Teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti
has informed that the status of Urdu Teachers – Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
(Urdu) in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas as on 31.12.2017 is as under:

Filling up of vacancies is a continuous process and action is taken as per the
relevant Recruitment Rules of the post. As such, no specific time frame can be
given in this regard.
The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has informed that 374 posts of
Urdu Teachers [TGT (Urdu) - 322 and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) (Urdu) – 52)]
are vacant in the Sarvodaya Vidyalayas under the Directorate of Education. 610
new posts of TGT (Urdu) were created vide order dated 17.8.2016. 213 vacancies
of TGT (Urdu) to be filled up through direct recruitment have been advertised on
20.12.2017. Action has also been initiated for filling up of 727 vacancies of TGT
(Urdu) to be filled up under Departmental Promotion quota. Orders for filling up of 24
vacant posts of PGT (Urdu) through promotion have also been issued on 26.2.2018
and action has been initiated for filling up the vacant posts under Departmental
Promotion quota and requisition has been sent for 7 posts of PGT (Urdu) to be filled
up through direct recruitment.
As on 19.3.2018, 315 TGT (Urdu) guest teachers and 28 PGT (Urdu) guest teachers
have also been engaged in Delhi Government Schools for the academic year
2017-18.
