Question : National Awards to MSMEs

(a) whether the Government gives annual National Awards to outstanding Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the criteria fixed in this regard, category-wise;

(c) the number of applications received by the Government from MSMEs for this purpose during each of the last three years, category-wise;

(d) the name of the MSMEs which have been awarded such national award during the said period, State/UT-wise; and

(e) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to spread awareness in MSMEs for such awards?

(a): Yes Madam.

(b): The criteria for National MSME Award includes investment, production, turnover, employment, net profit, innovation, quality, export, etc.

(c): The number of applications received from the MSMEs for National Awards during the last three years under the Ministry of MSME is at Annexure- I.

(d): The names of the MSMEs which have been awarded such national award, name-wise and State/UT-wise in respect of M/o MSME is at Annexure-II.

(e): The Ministry of MSME spreads awareness in respect of the National Awards throughout the country by means of the various awareness programmes organised by its field offices and also through other channels of communication.
