(a) whether it is a fact that 85 per cent of the allocation under various schemes of the Government is spent on the beaurocratic functioning and administrative works of the Government offices;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reaction of the Government thereto;and
(c) the corrective steps taken by the Government for optimum utilization of funds for which the same have been allocated?

(a)to(c): Exclusive account is not maintained for `beaurocratic functioning and administrative works` of the Government offices. Generally a small component of budgetary allocation is kept for administrative expenses for smooth implementation of the schemes which varies with reference to the structure of the schemes. However, Government is committed to ensure optimum utilization of funds for the purpose for which it has been allocated.
