Answer given by the minister

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH & FAMILY WELFARE (SHRI GHULAM NABI AZAD)

(a) As a matter of policy, on prescription of specialists, CGHS dispensaries are required to supply to beneficiaries the prescribed medicines or the medicines of the same formulation and therapeutic value available with them. If such medicines are not available in the stock, then these are indented for procurement from the Authorised local Chemists or through the Medical Stores Depot.

(b) & (c) In view of (a) above, question does not arise.
