Question : Single Window Service for NGOs

(a) whether it is a fact that some of the sub-registrar offices in the National Capital Territory of Delhi do not have single window service for registration and amendment related formalities for any non-Governmental Organization;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether these offices still take months for any small amendments in the registered organization and if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether even request for changing registered address of any organization needed full amendment and takes a month and if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the details of assessment for office mechanism in these offices as per the last review?

(a): The Revenue Department, Government of National Capital Territory (GNCTD) has informed that the registration of non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) is not done in the office of Sub-Registrars. Registration of NGOs under the Societies Act, 1860 is undertaken in the offices of Deputy Commissioners/District Magistrates, as soon as the application for registrations are received and formalities completed by the applicants.
(b) to (e): In the light of reply of (a), question does not arise.
