Question : Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has extended the validity of the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for the Middle Income Group till December, 2017;

(b) if so, the financial burden of the same to the Consolidated Fund of India;

(c) the number of beneficiaries availing the benefit of the subsidy and their percentage share from among all the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban); and

(d) the subsidy granted over the past three years in the State of Andhra Pradesh, area-wise?

(a) & (b): A new Credit Linked Subsidy scheme to provide interest subsidy for housing loans to eligible beneficiaries belonging to Middle Income Group (CLSS for MIG) was launched in 2017. CLSS for MIG scheme approved, initially, for one year in 2017, has been extended upto 31.03.2019. As on date, 9,944 number of MIG beneficiaries have been disbursed interest subsidy of Rs.204.68 Crore.

(c): A total of 80,680 beneficiaries have availed interest subsidy under the CLSS schemes for Economically Weaker Section, Low Income Group and Middle Income Group, which constitute 3% of all the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) {PMAY(U)}.



(d): Under CLSS component (CLSS for EWS/LIG & CLSS for MIG), as on 11-12-2017, Rs.1610.19 Lakh of interest subsidy has been disbursed and credited into the home loan account of 819 beneficiaries from the State of Andhra Pradesh. Details of interest subsidy disbursed in the State of Andhra Pradesh, area/city-wise, are enclosed.
