Question : Proposals for NHs

(a) whether the proposals for the sanction and construction of National Highways (NHs) from various States are received;
(b) if so, the details of such proposals which are still pending with the Government for approval, NH/ State-wise;
(c) whether the work on the NH passing through the State of Chhattisgarh especially Korba district has been completed; and
(d) if so, the details and present status thereof?

(a) & (b) Based on the proposals received from the State Governments / Union Territories (UTs), Ministry has approved an amount of about Rs. 1,03,700 crore in FY 2021-22 for sanction of projects for development of National Highways entrusted with State Governments / UTs, as part of National Infrastructure Pipeline, to be implemented in the next 2-3 years. State / UT-wise details is at Annexure-I.
(c) & (d) As of July 2021, 36 projects in a length of 1450 km costing Rs. 14103 cr. are under implementation in the state of Chhattisgarh. Projects are given a time period of 2 to 3 years for completion.



Details of projects completed in last 5 years in Korba district of Chhattisgarh are tabulated below.
