Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to refer to the Unstarred Question No. 4122 dated 04 January 2019:–
(a) whether the Government has taken note of the fact that a large number of private general hospitals refusing medical treatment to the CGHS beneficiaries on the grounds that the desired medical specialty is not covered under CGHS, however if the beneficiary is willing to pay general rates for treatment they are provided with medical treatment in those hospitals, if so, the details thereof along with the corrective steps taken in this regard;
(b) whether the Government has taken note of the fact that various private hospitals empanelled under CGHS do not list all the medical specialties they cater to the patients but only those specialties for which they are willing to cater to the CGHS beneficiaries, if so, the details thereof and corrective steps taken in this regard;
(c) whether the Government proposes to revise the relevant CGHS list of empanelled hospitals either by removing the column “empanelled for” describing the specialty treatment catered to the beneficiaries or by ensuring that the said list of empanelled hospitals provide all the medical specialty to which the hospitals is catering to; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken/proposed to be taken in this regard?
