(a) and (b): Based on the data of development parameters, collected through Mission Antyodaya Survey 2017 and 2018, village score card has been prepared for different States/Union Territories (UTs), which is at Annexure I. Gram Panchayats use this information while preparing and implementing Gram Panchayat Development Plans (GPDP).
(c): With an aim of providing wage and self-employment opportunities to rural people, the Department of Rural Development has been implementing schemes such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) and Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) throughout the country. Aajeevika Grameen Express Yojana (AGEY), which is a component of DAY-NRLM, provides safe, affordable and community monitored transport services in rural areas. Start-up Village Entreprenuership Programme (SVEP), which is a sub-scheme of DAY-NRLM, aims to help the rural poor to set-up enterprises at the village level in non-agricultural areas. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), an important component of National Skill Development Policy, is a placement linked skill development program.
(d) and (e): Third-party evaluation of Ministry of Rural Development’s Schemes are carried out regularly and actions, as appropriate, are taken on the findings, including restructuring of Schemes.
