Question : Bank Loan Defaulters

(a) the details of the companies which took crores of rupees loans by defrauding the public and private sector banks prior to 2014 which later converted into Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and the details of the action taken thereon;
(b) the details of the major companies out of these borrowing loan of more than 100 crore which were declared NPAs after 2014;
(c) whether the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken any action at the behest of the Government to recover loan from the said companies, if so, the details and the outcome thereof; and
(d) whether this list includes 100 top companies of the country primarily including Kingfisher Air, Gitanjali gems and crest steel and power private limited etc., if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has informed that it does not maintain information based on date of sanction or disbursement or details of companies to whom loans were sanctioned/disbursed by public and private sector banks prior to 2014 and which later turned NPA.
