Question : Suggestions on Climate Change

(a) whether the Government has received any suggestions in regard to climate change from the World Trade Organisation;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the action taken by the Government so far on the suggestions and the outcome of the action taken thereon; and
(d) the further steps proposed to be taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (d) The matters in World Trade Organisation (WTO) are decided by the member countries, as per the various agreements. On a number of occasions various member countries submit and circulate non-paper for general discussions on the issues. As such, no suggestions have been received from WTO as a document.
