(a) the names of the rivers in respect of which proposals for construction of bridges touching national highways in Uttar Pradesh are under consideration of the Government; and
(b) the time by which these proposals are likely to be accorded final approval and the time by which work is likely to start thereon ?

(a) & (b) The State Government have sent the draft terms of reference for engagement of Consultants for preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for reconstruction of bridges across the rivers East Begul and Gomti on NH-24. The question of final approval does not arise at present. In addition, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is considering proposals as per list attached at Annexure-`A`. The status of these works is also given in the Annexure.
