(a) whether Justice M.B. Shah Commission has submitted its report to the Government on illegal mining of iron and manganese ore in various States in the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the recommendations of the Commission to prevent such mining; and
(c) the action taken/proposed to be taken by the Government thereon?

(a) to (c): Yes, Madam. Justice M. B. Shah Commission of Inquiry (Commission) submitted the following reports to the Government on illegal mining of iron ore and manganese ore which have been laid in the Parliament alongwith ‘Memorandum of Action Taken’ containing recommendations of the Commission and action taken / proposed to be taken thereon:
(i) First Interim Report alongwith the Action Taken Report (ATR) laid in the Lok Sabha on 20.12.2011 and Rajya Sabha on 30.04.2012. An ‘Updated Memorandum of Action Taken’ on First Interim Report was laid in the Lok Sabha on 07.2.2014 and Rajya Sabha on 10.2.2014;
(ii) Reports on the State of Goa (Part I & II and Part III) alongwith ATR laid in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on 07.09.2012. An ‘Updated Memorandum of Action Taken’ on Reports on the State of Goa (Part I & II and Part III) was laid in the Lok Sabha on 07.2.2014 and Rajya Sabha on 10.2.2014;
(iii) First Report on illegal mining of iron and manganese ores in the State of Odisha alongwith ATR laid in the Lok Sabha on 11.2.2014 and Rajya Sabha on 10.2.2014 (English version) and 12.2.2014 (Hindi version).
(iv) Second Report on illegal mining of iron and manganese ores in the State of Odisha laid in the Lok Sabha on 04.08.2014 and Rajya Sabha on 06.08.2014;
(v) Third Report on illegal mining of iron and manganese ores in the State of Goa laid in the Lok Sabha on 04.08.2014 and Rajya Sabha on 06.08.2014; and
(vi) First Report on illegal mining of iron and manganese ores in the State of Jharkhand laid in the Lok Sabha on 04.08.2014 and Rajya Sabha on 06.08.2014.
