Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT & POVERTY ALLEVIATION ( SHRI O. RAJAGOPAL )

(a)to(c): No, Sir. The budgetary provisions made by the Ministry of Finance under Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana(SJSRY), a centrally sponsored urban poverty alleviation scheme are allocated to the States/UTs on the basis of incidence of urban poverty as communicated by the Planning Commission from time to time for implementation of the scheme. These allocations has not affected the SJSRY adversely, since the States/UTs are having unspent funds from the old UPA Programmes. Details of funds allocated and released to the Gujarat State under SJSRY, during the last three years is placed in the Annexure.
