(a) whether the Government is issuing tribal nationality certificates
to the entire tribal population of the country ;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether enormous delay has been reported in issuance of such certificates;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the steps taken/ being taken by the Government to expedite the project?

(a): No, Madam. There is no such proposal to issue Tribal Nationality
Certificate. However, a person belonging to Scheduled Tribes may get the
Scheduled Tribe certificate in the prescribed form from any one of the
designated authorities. The issuance and verification of Scheduled Tribe
certificate/social status rests with the State Government concerned.
(b) to (e) : In view of (a), does not arise.
