Question : Agricultural Growth

(a) whether growth rate of the agricultural sector during 2021-22 was 3.9 per cent against 4.3 per cent in 2019-20;

(b) if so, whether only Rs. 1.04 lakh crore has been allocated to just five schemes: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Modified Interest Subvention Scheme, Market Intervention Scheme and Price Support Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Man Dhan Yojana in the recent budget; and

(c) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a): As per theSecond Advance Estimates of National Income 2021-22, released by National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) on 28th February 2022, the annualgrowth rate of Gross Value Added (GVA) ofAgriculture and Allied Sectors in the country for the year 2021-22 is 3.3 percent at the constant (2011-12) prices.

(b) and (c) : The details of budget estimates for 2022-23 in five schemes are given below.
