(a). whether there is any proposal to set up new cultural research and development centres in the country particularly in West Bengal;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government providing financial assistance to various State Governments towards this; and
(d) if so, the details thereof, State-wise?

(a) & (b) There is no proposal to set up new cultural research and development centres.
(c) Under the existing scheme of setting up of multi purpose cultural complexes, State Governments are given financial assistance on a 50:50 basis. For North Eastern States, it is 90:10 basis.
(d) State-wise details are annexed.
