Question : NBCFDC Schemes

(a) the details of proposals received, sanctioned and pending under the various schemes of the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) during the last three years, State-wise;

(b) the details of physical progress/ achievements of each of the schemes during the said period, State-wise;

(c) whether any complaint has been received regarding any of the said scheme during the said period;

(d) if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon, State-wise; and

(e) whether most of the people belonging to the backward classes have not been able to avail the schemes of NBCFDC due to lack of awareness and publicity in mass media and if so, the steps being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) & (b): National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC), a corporation under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment disburses funds to its Channel Partners (State Channelizing Agencies/Banks) as per their request and subject to fulfillment of prudential norms by them. A statement showing amount disbursed and the number of beneficiaries during the last three years State-wise under various Loan Schemes and Skill Development Training Programme of NBCFDC is at Annexure-A and Annexure-B respectively. NBCFDC has been able to fulfill the proposals for fund disbursals without any pendency.

(c): No Sir.

(d): Does not arise in view of (c).

(e): NBCFDC routinely conducts awareness programme through its Channel Partners in various States. Further, radio programmes are also broadcast from time to time. No such case of lack of awareness and publicity have been received.
