(a) whether Government is considering a proposal to introduce
legislation to enquire into the complaints against Supreme Court
and High Court judges;
(b) if so, salient feature of the proposed legislation;
(c) whether Government is also considering to incorporate in
the proposed / legislation that lays down judicial standards and
requires the judges to declare their assets and liabilities; and
(d) if so, the details in this regard?

(a) to (d): The Governmen has decided to introduce a Bill titled `The Judicial
Standards and Accountability1. 2010` which incorporates a mechanism for enquiring
into individual complaints against juages of the Supreme Court and High Courts,
enables declaration of assets and liabili of rucjges m(x iays down judicial standards
to be followed by the Judges, in the current Session of &c Pariianient.
