(a) whether the Government has received any representations from social organizations regarding financial assistance for setting up of chain of storage facilities including cold storage and associated logistics facilities to overcome the damages caused in final agro products; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and action taken thereon?

(a) & (b): Various social organizations such as Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Self Help Groups (SHGs) are eligible for assistance for setting up chain of cold storage facilities including cold storages and associated logistics facilities under various schemes of Government of India such as Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) / Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure (AMI) Schemes of Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare and under Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, for developing post-harvest infrastructure to overcome post-harvest losses of agriculture and horticulture produce. Presently, no representation from any social organization is reported to be pending with Government of India regarding financial assistance for setting up of chain of storage facilities including cold storage and associated logistics facilities.
