Question : FUNCTIONING OF RAILWAY COURTS IN KERALA



(a) the number of Railway Courts are functioning in Kerala;

(b) whether the Government are aware that no permanent Presiding Officer/Magistrate is there in these Courts;

(c) if so, the reasons therefor; and

(d) the steps taken to post permanent Presiding Officers/Magistrates in Railway Courts in Kerala?

(a): At present, three Railway Magistrates` Courts are functioning at Quilon, Calicut and Shoranur in Kerala.

(a) to (d): Permanent Railway Magistrates are functioning in the three courts.
