(a) whether the reservation policy for SCs, STs and OBCs which is to be followed in making appointments is not being complied with effectively by the Ministries and Public Sector Undertakings;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reaction of the Government thereto; and
(c) the action taken by the Government for filling up the vacant posts keeping in view the recommendations of the National Commission for SCs and STs in this regard?

(a): Policy of reservation in services under the Government of India is being implemented as per instructions issued from time to time by the Department of Personnel and Training.
(b): Does not arise, in view of reply given to part (a) above.
(c): Vacancies reserved for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are filled along with other vacancies. However, the Central Government has been launching Special Recruitment Drives from time to time for filling up the backlog of reserved vacancies.
