(a) whether the Government propose to constitute special appraisal teams to monitor the implementation of various schemes and programmes;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which a final decision is likely to be taken in this regard?

(a),(b)&(c) Each Ministry has its own mechanism for monitoring of
the schemes/programmes sanctioned by it. The
Committee of Secretaries headed by Cabinet Secretary
periodically monitors the progress of major Central
Sector Projects. Besides, a Committee has been set
up to examine the extant procedures for investment
approvals and implementation of projects and suggest
measures to simplify and expedite the process of both
public and private investments. This Committee is
examining the issue of constitution of special
facilitation teams by the Administrative Ministries
to monitor implementation of various projects/
programmes.
