(a) whether a number of cases related to legally freeing of the children for their adoption are pending with the Child Welfare Committees in the country including the States of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Jharkhand;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UT-wise; and
(c) the steps being taken by the Government for quick disposal of the pending cases?

(a) & (b): As per the information provided by the Central adoption Resource Authority (CARA) ,the State/ UT-wise details of cases related to legally freeing of the children for their adoption which are pending with the Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) in the Country including the States of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Jharkhand are as annexed.
(c): In order to facilitate quick disposal of the pending cases the Ministry has been requesting the States/UTs from time to time to review the pendencies and also ensure that the Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) are constituted and to fill up the vacancies in the CWCs wherever existing. In addition the details are being monitored online regularly by CARA.
