Question : SELLING OF GENERAL INSURANCE POLICIES

(a) whether the Department of Posts is considering to sell policies related with crop insurance, accident insurance, agricultural equipment insurance apart from postal life insurance policies;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the action taken by the Government in this regard along with the Post Offices identified for the purpose, State-wise?

(a) Madam, There is no such proposal at present.

(b) & (c) Does not arise in view of (a) above.
