Question : PER AIRCRAFT INCOME AND EXPENDITURE



(a) the total number of Air Buses and Boeings flights daily;

(b) the total expenditure incurred and income accrued from these flights;

(c) the quantum of profit/loss per aircraft per year;

(d) whether any proposal is pending before Government to increase the number of flights; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon?

(a) : Details of Air India`s daily flights are as under :

Indian Airlines and Alliance Air operate, on an average, 149 Airbus (A-320 & A300) and 41 Boeing flights per day.

(d) and (e) : Air India plans to introduce 3 flights each effective December 2002 on Mumbai/paris/Newark/Paris/Mumbai and Mumbai/Delhi./Frankfurt/Delhi/Mumbai.
Subject to availability of aircraft capacity IndianAirlines has plans to increase services on some routes in the Winter Schedule effective October, 2002.
