(a) the details of the ongoing schemes for the promotion of Handicrafts and upliftment of artisans;
(b) the State/UT – wise details of amount due to various states under those schemes for which grant is provided by the Government;
(c) whether the Government has taken measures to provide employment to the artisans of the various states including Rajasthan; and
(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a): The schemes being implemented for promotion and development of handicrafts sector in the country are as under:-
“National Handicrafts Development Programme [NHDP]”
I. A. Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojna
i) Dastkar Shashktikaran Yojna
ii) Design & Technology Upgradation
iii) Human Resource Development
iv) Direct Benefit to Artisans
v) Infrastructure and Technology Support

II. Marketing Support
III. Research and Development
(b): The state /UT wise fund released to various Implementing Agencies during the year 2015-16 is as per Annexure attached.
(c) & (d): Yes, Madam. To provide employment to the artisans of the various states including Rajasthan, the Government is implementing the National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP) scheme with component of Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojna for integrated development of selected craft cluster, Design & Technology Upgradation and Human Resource Development as their sub-components.
