(a)whether the Government is aware that the Employees` State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospitals in various parts of the country including Karnataka are not having adequate basic infrastructure to meet the demands of ESI beneficiaries;
(b)if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(c)the various measures taken by the Government to provide the required facility to all such hospitals in the country including hospitals in Karnataka?

(a) & (b): The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospitals in the country, including Karnataka are generally having required basic infrastructure to meet the demands of ESI beneficiaries.
(c): The Medical Superintendents of the ESIC hospitals have been delegated some financial powers for undertaking repair and maintenance of hospital infrastructure. Wherever required, major renovation/ repair of infrastructure is also taken up in a phased manner.
