(a) whether the Government has received any proposal/demand from the State of Madhya Pradesh to
declare the districts having more than 25 percent of tribal population as the Special Area under
the tribal schemes and to increase Central assistance under the tribal sub- scheme; and
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the reaction of the Government thereto?

(a) This Ministry has not received any proposal/demand from the State of Madhya Pradesh to
declare the districts having more than 25 percent of tribal population as the `Special Area`
under the tribal schemes and to increase Central assistance under the tribal sub- scheme.
(b) Does not arise, in view of the (a).
