(a) the number of Engineering Colleges recognised by the Government during the last two years, State-wise;

(b) the details of norms adopted;

(c) whether recognition has been provided to the colleges in different States uniformally; and

(a) : The number of Engineering Colleges approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) during the last two years, State-wise is given in the Annexure.

(b) to (d) : AICTE considers proposals on the basis of duly prescribed regulations and also keeping in view financial viability, availability of infrastructure like building, classroom, faculty, etc. as per the prescribed norms and standards. The norms of AICTE apply uniformally throughout the country.
