(a) whether the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has set any target to achieve by 2025 with the next phase of its expansion;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether SAIL proposes to acquire some foreign steel companies; and
(d) if so, the details thereof, company/country-wise?

(a)&(b): The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has prepared a draft plan to realize its Brownfield potential of 50 million tonnes of hot metal production by 2025 (in a phase-wise manner). The details are being worked out.
(c)&(d): Currently, SAIL has no proposal for acquisition of foreign steel companies.
