(a) : Yes, Sir. Financial assistance is provided to various organizations including States and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) active in consumer welfare sector as per the eligibility criteria for the assistance.
(b) : No assistance is provided to districts directly. However, details of the financial assistance provided to Bihar, Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir are at Annexure.
(c) & (d) : Monitoring of functioning of NGOs receiving financial assistance is done from time to time by the Central Government.
