Question : Guidelines for Issue of License of Pilots

(a) the guidelines laid down by the Government to issue the licenses of pilots in the country;

(b) the number of cases reported to the Government as on date regarding obtaining licenses of pilots on the basis of forged documents; and

(c) the action taken by the Government in each such case?

(a) The guidelines/ requirements to issue the licenses of pilots under various categories are laid down in Schedule II of the Aircraft Rules, 1937 which are available on the website of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), i.e., www.dgca.nic.in.;

(b) & (c) Since 2010 a total of 20 cases of obtaining pilot license on the basis of forged documents have been reported to the Government. Details of the action taken on each case is at Annexure I;
Further, during the last three years while scrutinizing documents concerning issue of pilot licenses, some cases of using forged documents have come to the notice of DGCA. The details of such cases and the action taken in each cases is at Annexure II.
