Question : Closing of LC-249-C

(a) whether the Government has received letter No. 1261/XX/JA-2019-20, dated 19.10.2019 by the District Magistrate, Hardoi (UP) regarding having no admistrative objection in closing railway level crossing No. 249-C near St. Theresa’s School in Sandila Tehsil, Misrikh Parliamentary Constituency after the construction of ROB there;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government has received requests from public representatives as well in this regard;

(d) if so, the details thereof; and

(e) the progress made so far in this regard?

(a) to (e): Yes, Sir. No Objection Certification (NOC) has been received from the Add. Distt. Magistrate, Hardoi for closure of level crossing (LC) No. 249-C near St. Theresa’s school in Sandila Tehsil after construction of Road Over Bridge (ROB).
Representation has also been received requesting Railways to construct the ROB in lieu of LC No. 249-C. After joint survey with State Authorities, the conceptual profile sketch of ROB has been approved by Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation limited, on 02.08.2021. Accordingly, ROB in lieu of LC No. 249/C has been sanctioned by Railways on 23.11.2021.
