Question : RAIL LINE IN LADAKH

(a) whether the Railways have any plan for laying a new Railway line in Ladakh to connect other parts of the country; and

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(a) & (b): Survey for construction of new broad gauge line from Bilaspur to Leh has been sanctioned and the survey work has been taken up.
